I have a lot of Get the Looks to post in the next day or two, but before I do, I wanted to post about my friends store in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Elizabeth Kiester used to be an editor and trend forecaster in New York City and about 1 1/2 years ago she moved to Cambodia and opened a store called Wanderlust. (She has since opened one in Phenom Phen, Cambodia's capital as well)
Not only is it the cutest store in Siem Reap, she carries the great clothes, bags scarves etc that are all made locally and by non-profit NGO's (non-government organizations). Her cool purses -- which totally remind me of a cute Marc By Marc Jacobs bag I have -- and makeup bags are silkscreened and sewn by an NGO for the disabled, and the beautiful scarves pictured above are woven at Prolung Khmer, an NGO for women.
I came home with a suitcase full of purses, scarves and super cute tops and skirts. The best part is that she just started selling them on her website so you don't have to travel 8000 miles to get them.....which is a relief because I know come summer time I'm going to need some more of her adorable dresses, and now I can get them without the jet lag.
Check out the cuteness for yourself:
